About MHARC

The Moosehorn Amateur Radio Club started in the 1950s as the Wildwood Army Station Amateur Radio Club. Membership is open to anyone interested in Amateur Radio, whether they are just starting out, or are seasoned hams who have been on the air for years. The Club meets once per month on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Meeting locations are announced via email, this website and the local repeater. All persons interested in Amateur Radio are invited to attend.

The club supports a repeater, AL7LE, in the Soldotna – Kenai area.. The antenna is located at an elevation of 200′ above ground level on a 225′ hill, 1.5 miles north of Soldotna, Alaska. Repeater frequencies are 146.88 MHz, output, and 146.28 MHz input.
